Tourism has a significant share in the global human-caused environmental impact and is only future-proof through consistent further development oriented towards sustainability. The dissemination of good examples and the development of solutions to existing problem areas should support the further development of sustainable tourism. This is to be achieved by mobilizing, coordinating and cooperating with associations from tourism, nature conservation, environmental protection, leisure, sport, alternative mobility and individual tourism players. The focus is on the goal-oriented development of practical implementation steps to solve the current need for action. This is done by holding special conferences for discussion and exchange in selected subject areas and problem areas, the accompanying development of studies and handouts on selected key issues. In addition, there is cooperation and networking with associations from tourism, nature and environmental protection, leisure, sports and alternative mobility at federal level.
