Karpatenlandschaft

Together with the project partners CEEweb for Biodiversity (CEEweb), WWF-Danube-Carpathian Programme Office (WWF-DCPO), Interim Secretariat of the Carpathian Convention (UNEP-ISCC) and Carpathian Network of Protected Areas (CNPA) ETE followed a participative consultation process with stakeholders from governments, the tourism sector and NGOs in the Carpathian countries in order to develop a sustainable tourism strategyfor the Carpathians.

At its 4th Conference of the Parties in September 2014, the Parties to the Framework Convention on the Protection and Sustainable Development of the Carpathians (Carpathian Convention) adopted the joint strategy for sustainable tourism development in the mountain region.
