Protection and sustainable development of the Carpathians in a transnational framework
The international project supported the implementation of the Carpathian Convention. The major focus of the project has been the enhancement of transnational cooperation between the Carpathian countries that is crucial for nature conservation efforts and sustainable development of this outstanding mountain region. ETE has been leading the tourism working group of the convention which was assigned to elaborat a tourism protocol and a strategy for sustainable tourism dveelopment in the Carpathians.
Among the project partners are nature conservation NGOs as well as ministries and governmental agencies from the Carpathian countries
